Those items (and ranks) are as follows: Rank 1: Incubation Lv. Each of these will stack up a the shop ranks up. It is through the Nursery, once a day that, as it ranks up, you can buy numerous things to help you reduce the number of steps needed. Once you beat the Elite Four, and get your Join Avenue to Rank 15, you will gain access to the Nursery. The second of these changes, and the newest, added in Black and White Version 2, are the Nurseries available through Join Avenue in the Post-Game. As you complete Funfest missions and other quests through the Entralink you can get Pass Powers that reduce the number of steps needed by half during a set a period of time. The first of these is through the Pass Powers. Not only do you have the Flame Body/Magma Armor halving the number of steps, you now have two sources of reducing the steps needed. Largely, this is post-Game, after having beaten the Elite Four. Now that we have these games those things have gotten to the easiest place ever. Things have gotten easier over the different generations in terms of just hatching the Pokemon. Hatching Eggs This is something that has seen a lot of revision since it was introduced back back in the second generation of Pokemon. If the Pokemon has two ability otherwise, then they both have a 20% chance, otherwise, it is 40%. It remains that there is a set percentage of the Hidden Ability being inherited. With the Fifth Generation they were introduced and through using the Dream World, Pokemon could gain a new ability.
Abilities continues on for one more thing: the Hidden Abilities. Now that has been modified to the following: If the Mother has one of two abilities, the baby has an 80% chance to inherent the Mother's active ability and 20% of getting the second ability. Previously it sat around 50% if the parent Pokemon had two abilities that the child could inherit. The second of those sits in the Abilities they can inherit. If they are both holding one, then it resumes it's 50% chance, but split between the Father's and the Mother's Nature. The only way that can change is if both parents are holding an Everstone. Now, using the Everstone, if one of the Parents is holding an everstone and they have the nature you want the baby to have, it will happen. Previously in Pokemon the best one could do for passing along a nature was 50% when the parents were an Everstone and they had the desired nature. The first of those, their Nature, is critical when it comes to competitive battling. This can be very important for those who have gone through some of the optional questing available through the game. It comes down to two elements that have been modified: Nature and Abilities.
This makes it a lot easier for those who want to breed particular elements onto their Pokemon notably easier than it was in Fourth gen or even Black and White. It is now a lot easier to pass some elements of the parent Pokemon down to their children. Inheritance This is one of the two sections that has seen massive revision since the previous article. It cannot be used to get any of the Pre-Evolutions of a Pokemon. This genderless Pokemon is the only Pokemon that can breed with any other and produce the basic offspring. If you want to breed a Pokemon but do not have one that is compatible, then you can also mate it with Ditto. All that is covered in the previous article and holds true for this generation of Pokemon games a well. It is important to also note that some Pokemon Evolutions need particular circumstances and items for it to work and for you to get the Pre-Evolution. If they do not have a matching group, they cannot breed.
This matching is very simply to learn with some searching of the Pokedexes online. You need two Pokemon of the same Egg Group of opposite genders (or at least share one) and put them into the Daycare. It will become available for your use after you beat the Elite Four. The basics hold true though, you need to find the Day Care on Route 3. Once again though Black and White Version 2 have enough changes that it is very worth while to make note of them. The previous changes have been less than noteworthy. Pokemon Black White Version 2 Breeding Guide Introduction Breeding Inheritance Hatching Eggs Egg Moves Egg Groups The Unbreedable Introduction Since the last guide was written back in the fourth generation of Pokemon, things have been changing.
